Fantasy Football Week 4 Start ’Em, Sit ’Em: Players to Trust and Avoid

Week 4 brings marquee matchups across the NFL, including Chiefs vs. Ravens, Buccaneers vs. Eagles, and the first international game of the season between the Vikings and Steelers. With so many high-stakes contests on the schedule, fantasy managers face difficult lineup decisions. Here are three players who belong in your starting lineup this week, followed by three who are better left on the bench.

Players to Start

Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears

Odunze may technically be the WR2 in Chicago, but his chemistry with quarterback Caleb Williams is already apparent. Through three weeks, he has produced like a WR1 despite sharing targets with DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland, and Luther Burden III. Against a Raiders defense allowing nearly 25 points and 237 passing yards per game, Odunze is set up for another strong performance.

Bo Nix, QB, Denver Broncos

Nix’s second season has not lived up to the promise of his rookie year, but this matchup provides the perfect opportunity to rebound. Denver faces a Bengals defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in most categories. Coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Chargers, the Broncos will be motivated to bounce back, and Nix is in position to deliver.

Dalton Kincaid, TE, Buffalo Bills

Kincaid has become one of Josh Allen’s most trusted targets. He is second on the team in receiving yards with 151 and leads Buffalo with two touchdowns. Facing a winless Saints team that has allowed 142 yards and a touchdown to opposing tight ends while surrendering 30 points per game, Kincaid is poised for a spike in both targets and production.

Players to Sit

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals

The fourth overall pick in the 2024 draft has yet to live up to expectations. Harrison Jr. has struggled with drops, including a costly one last week against San Francisco, and now faces a daunting matchup against Tariq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon in Seattle’s secondary. The Seahawks defense currently ranks second on Sleeper, making this a week to keep Harrison Jr. on the bench.

Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City’s offense has sputtered, often settling for Harrison Butker field goal attempts instead of touchdowns. Kelce’s critical drop against Philadelphia that turned into an interception highlights those struggles. With matchups likely against Kyle Van Noy and Kyle Hamilton, this could be another difficult outing for the veteran tight end.

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Rodgers looked rejuvenated in Week 1 with four touchdowns, but that spark has faded quickly. His last two games have been poor, and now he faces a Vikings defense that ranks first on Sleeper. Brian Flores’ unit blitzes heavily, which spells trouble for an aging quarterback who has struggled under pressure. Rodgers is not a safe start this week.
