Week 4 was a strong showing, going 3-1 on our betting lineup. Clemson has cemented itself as one of the season’s biggest disappointments, with Florida not far behind.
This week, we are working with tight lines that include an early-season favorite, a team fresh off a statement win, a matchup between two offense-first squads, and a low-profile game that could turn into a sneaky opportunity. Here is where the money is going for Week 5.
Best Moneyline Bet: Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-195 at Arkansas Razorbacks)
Notre Dame is trying to climb back after an 0-2 start against difficult opponents. They may not be the juggernaut many expected, but they are significantly more talented than Arkansas. With odds better than -200, this is excellent value, especially as part of a parlay.
Arkansas has battled hard at 2-2, including a six-point loss to 13th-ranked Ole Miss. Still, the Razorbacks are outmatched here. Skip the spread and play the moneyline.
Best Spread Bet: Syracuse Orange (+4.5 vs Duke Blue Devils)
Duke burned us last week, so we are fading them again.
Syracuse just upset Clemson and is 3-1 with its only loss to ranked Tennessee. The Orange offense has been explosive, and they look like a program on the rise in 2025.
Duke is inconsistent, showing stretches of dominance but also lapses that let opponents back in. Syracuse should start fast at home, and that should be enough to cover the +4.5.
Best Over/Under Bet: California Golden Bears at Boston College Eagles (Over 53.5)
Neither team has been overly impressive, but both can score against average defenses like we find here. Boston College is averaging 42 points per game, while Cal is at 24, dragged down by a shutout last week.
The total of 53.5 feels soft given these numbers. The over feels like one of the safer plays of the week.
Gut Check Bet: Arkansas State Red Wolves (+120 at Louisiana-Monroe)
This one will not grab headlines, but it has value.
Arkansas State has been more competitive than expected in 2025 despite a 1-3 record. They have played close in two of their three losses and continue to show grit. Louisiana-Monroe, on the other hand, is coming off a 73-0 humiliation against Alabama and has not shown much in other FBS matchups.
Arkansas State is a slight underdog here but has every chance to grab an upset win. It is worth a look as a low-key addition to the weekend card.
