It is funny how football seasons can turn. Last year after two weeks only one Legend was under .500 in their picks. This year after two weeks only one Legend is above .500, and that is Hakan Yumusaklar at 13-7. By the way, that’s the same Legend who last season was the only one under .500 at this point. Go figure.
Most of our experts are hovering around the breakeven line, and all it takes is one hot week to flip the script. Week 3 could be that moment. After a dull slate last weekend that featured just one game between ranked opponents (Michigan vs Oklahoma) that turned out to be a dud, this week brings three ranked matchups that look far more compelling.
Our Legends are split on most of the board, but there are a few games where opinions lined up. LSU (-8.5) over Florida and the Packers (-3.5) over the Commanders both drew 8-3 advantages. And in the Super Bowl rematch, 7 of our Legends expect the reigning champs to cover the small 1.5 point spread as underdogs when they visit Kansas City.
Football is back and it is glorious. It would be even better if the Legends can get back to the form that had them printing money last year. Could Week 3 be the time? It is almost time to find out.
